I don’t think there’s any other choice out there, especially if you want to look at specific players who are not marquee players or the starter at their position. But especially in regards to Ben Roethlisberger, I’ve often wondered if they were running tape from other games with their ratings. And of course what they do implies a level of knowledge they really can’t have. In assigning blame for a pick or incompletion, for instance, they can infer what the playcall was, but they can’t know for sure whether the QB was off or the runner ended up in the wrong spot, at least some of the time.

Sorry about the misprint. Too much hassle to fix it, so it will have to stand. And I know which way around his name is – I think it was rather late when I made those charts… I remember when the national TV crew kept saying “Sylvester Stevenson,” and it annoyed the crap out of me.

Oh, and your charts have a small miss print in them as Giovani Bernard is listed as “Bernard Giovani.” I guess these things happen when your parents saddle you with a two first name name! ;-P
