I never followed baseball very closely, other than the few years when the Expos were starting to make some noise (till they got snowed in by their coke spoons) but this piece resonates beyond the diamond field as it touches the person rather than just his accomplishments. It makes me wish I knew Yogi as more than a cartoon bear who filched picnic baskets.
