I imagine you have heard Ben’s injury has been diagnosed as a sprain with bone bruise likely out 4 to 6 weeks. He will be missed just glad we will be getting him back. My doubts with Vick isn’t his ability it is his propensity to turn the ball over, if Coach T can convince Michael he doesn’t need to be the hero and to get the ball to our playmakers we should be fine until Ben’s return.

I was preaching to myself as much as anyone, and still I wasn’t converted – it is so much more comfortable to feel your field goals are in the bag. But I’ll also settle for a TD rather than a FG every time : )

Good morning and Go Steelers.

Interesting article. I would prefer a kicker with Shaun’s accuracy with the leg to knock every kickoff out of the end-zone but if I had to make a choice between one or the other I would take a kicker with Shaun’s accuracy versus one without who can reliably start the other team at its twenty yard line. Of course, in light of your article and PFF’s rankings, the more touchdowns and two point conversions the Steelers convert the more likely I am to change my mind. But at present I remember too many close games that have been decided by three points or less.

One item not discussed is Shaun’s inability to make a FG longer than 52 yards, I would imagine this would or if not should factor into the rankings.

This is the type of article that I will be considering throughout the season. Thank you.
