A Christmas Day Cop-Out
Well, friends, through snow, sleet, concert series, tornadoes, and other acts of God and nature we have brought entertainment to your computer. But today we are going to let others entertain you.
Even the photo at left is second-hand, as I snapped it at Gotham City (the PPG main building downtown). It was one of about a billion gingerbread houses on display. Being both festive and Steelers-themed it seemed an appropriate beginning for the post.
Thank you so much to my co-authors, Ivan Cole, Roxanna Firehall, Hombre de Acero, and Homer J. And thanks so much to all of you for reading, for discussing, for disagreeing in a civil and intelligent fashion (of course if you agree you are even more intelligent) and for helping to make it the place we dreamed of when we launched this site last summer.
And so for today we are all getting a holiday. I have put a few links below if you need something to cleanse your palate after a holiday feast or to stimulate your appetite before it. (I will leave it to you to decide which things are best used where.)
And now for the main attractions:
We begin with a classic:
Frank Caliendo can get a little old, but there are some really good bits in this video, “Under the Hoodie,”

Dave Damashek’s PieOff IV, declaring the winner of the 2015 Piesman Trophy:

Frank Caliendo reading “The Night Before Christmas” in various famous voices:

And we’ll end with another classic. I love Keith Butler, but nothing will ever replace this:
Finally, from me and mine I wish you all a blessed Christmas, or whatever other holiday you celebrate. This is my grandkids, several years ago now—there are two more of them. Steeler Nation is continuing to raise up new generations of fans : )
Rebeccca,
I thought I would take this opportunity to thank you for setting up this place which I think is best described as the only Pittsburgh Steelers salon on the Internet. There are many of us out here who quietly enjoy the product that you and the other contributors create and it too often goes without any words of appreciation.
So thanks for inspiring and hosting this site, and thanks for all of the continuing hard work that keeps us both enlightened and entertained.
Have a great Christmas and best wishes for 2016.

Greetings from Sopranos country in North Jersey, where it was 70 degrees on Christmas day. Tidings of comfort and joy!

Ironically I’m heading for New Mexico to visit my mother next week, and the predicted high temperature is 27 degrees… Back in sunny Pittsburgh it’s also way warmer than I am here in CO
