Instinctive and able to read the opposition, he was rarely out of position. Made better by the techniques taught by Noll, he was more effective in his thirties than he was in his twenties. Seven Pro Bowls (the last at age 34), two SB titles, twice team defensive MVP, 1971 team MVP. The fact that he is not in the HOF is a crime.

A class act and excellent player.

I never knew a lot about Andy Russell but I have admire his toughness and dedication.
