I do hope the Steelers and Timmons can come to an agreement on a new contract. If I am not mistaken, Shazier has grown into the role of Buck leaving Timmons to be the Mack and I think Timmons has looked great as the Mack lb. He is flying all over the field in a way I haven’t seen since Farrior left. I never felt he was entirely comfortable in the role of Buck.

Jarvis Jones has taken his time but I think he is now getting to where he needs to be as a starting olb. I wonder if he has more responsibility for the run with Butler’s defence than he would have had with LeBeau’s defence since Butler lets the DE pass rush more.

I don’t think the Steelers have even scratched surface on what Dupree will be capable of doing. IIRC, he didn’t join Harrison and the rest of the lbs during the off-season last year. An off season under Harrison’s tutelage who be amazing.

If James is thinking of retiring (and I not certain he should) then the Rooneys should hire him to run strength and conditioning for the Steelers lbs in the off season. If that runs into problems with the league and the unions then they could set James up in business and have add financial incentives that will cover the players costs to attend James’ workouts. It is obvious he has a lot to offer. It would be a shame to waste it.
