Then I did the research and it’s true. Yes non franchise types have won the SB…Baltimore x2… but only if they were not facing a franchise type themselves.
And now I’m agreeing with cold_old above and worrying about the time prior to the next great Steelers QB. If history is any indication, I may not live that long.

On an unrelated note, the CFL pre-season has kicked off. My local team, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, kick off this evening at 7:00 pm (CDT). I don’t know if there are any streams but I expect it will be televised nationally but not necessarily locally. The CFL’s website is http://www.cfl.ca and there are links to individual teams. The CFL isn’t for everyone but it is football.
