I am certain D-Will understood.

The first is the use of the word sociopathic when describing Burfict. It seems appropriate.

The second is the final paragraph discussing Ben and the role he has seemed to assume this season. I completely agree with your assessment that his “leadership has reached a new and lofty elevation” this year. He refers to the receivers as his guys, with the emphasis on ‘his’. He appears to have complete confidence in his skills and ability to call plays based on his evaluation of the defense in front of him, and also a great rapport and comfort between him and his receivers. It’s been an interesting evolution watching him speak in the locker room this year after the preseason games, and last week against Washington, about the passing performances of himself and ‘his’ receivers. He took ownership over them. It is this attitude he has that helps give me great confidence this year that the Steelers may actually win the final game of the season.

That might get us all in the proper mood.

Just the reaction when he first stepped foot onto Heinz Field would be priceless.

The gamesmanship leading up to this is intriguing. The Bengals can’t even discuss the Steelers without devolving into profanity laced tirades. Pittsburgh’s approach? The dismissive insult. No special preparation necessary says the head coach. Just another game. Our real rivals are the Ravens. These guys just aren’t that important. We won, they didn’t.

Don’t believe it. The Bengals are probably blowing their stacks behind closed doors. Meanwhile, the Steelers are sharpening their knives and breaking open, not cans, but barrels of Whup A**. The game won’t be openly dirty, at least not at the beginning. Both sides will view winning as the best revenge. But watch Mike Mitchell who will take things right to the edge, and Antonio Brown, who as Ike Taylor and Rebecca can tell you, can be quite the troublemaker when he puts his mind to it, and has an incentive to humiliate the Bengals if he can.

It could go either way, but don’t be surprised if the Steelers win big.
