I was the obnoxious editor who thought that couldn’t possibly be right and changed it. Fixed…

“What a buffoon”.

Will E. Burfict….Supergenius. Blows himself up again. Classic stuff.

If the Eagles could’ve completed the 2 point conversion to beat the Ravens, this win would’ve punched our ticket to the playoffs. As it is, the Ravens game this week is still a must-win, and we’ll be without some important players to do it. Tuitt is a key player on defense, and his loss is magnified by the previous loss of Cam Heyward, and even further magnified by the subsequent loss of Ricardo Matthews. I’m thrilled that Bell emerged from the game unscathed, which is undoubtedly more important (and perhaps the reason the Steelers were less run heavy this game than previous weeks), but I’m not thrilled about a tough, physical Ravens game where we only have 3 healthy DL (including neither of our 2 best). It looks like Ladarius Green will also missing, and with his concussion history who knows how long he might be gone.

That’s the negative Nelly portion of the reply. The good news is that as good as Green has been, we do have other options on offense. Rogers had himself a nice game, Roethlisberger didn’t throw an interception, Coates may be ready to contribute again, and with Bell healthy it doesn’t take an awful lot else on offense to be successful. The Ravens didn’t look great against Philly and even if they beat us, they still have to beat the Bengals in Cincy to win the division, who earlier this year they beat for the first time in the past 6 tries. Besides, maybe Tuitt and Green will be available next week anyway, although I really doubt it in Green’s case. Even if Tuitt isn’t able to play, at least the Steelers hit on Hargrave on the 3rd round so that we do have something up front, and Dupree can hopefully pick up some of that slack too.

I would say that the Road Runner model works well in this context. I think the underlying theme being there is something cartoonish about the Bengals. And you really do end up laughing at them.

Coyote. It’s almost always a variation of the same script. You watch what hare-brained scheme they come up with, and you know how it’s going to end. It is, you might say, the Acme of entertainment. Wile E. Coyote: genius. Vontaze Burfict: super genius.

Does he not know what happens to players/teams that do not respect the terrible towel?”

It was a great comeback and the D really tightened up in the 2nd half. The announcer near the end of the game (not Dan Fouts, the other guy) said that cinci had more penalty yards in the 2nd half than yards from scrimmage. That is pretty amazing.

Side note: Dan Fouts is a terrible commentator.
