And excellent points about the catfish. Although it perhaps would have been deserved…

Good point. I meant eastern Ohio. I always think of it as west from me…

A live one – or perhaps a snapping turtle – could have longer lasting implications.

Also, isn’t his family from eastern Ohio….being that’s the part nearest the ‘burgh? The hillbilly part?

Surprised they didn’t also arrest the catfish. I mean, if you can indict a ham sandwich, think what you could do with a catfish that’s already on ice!

Homer will be here all week, folks. Try the veal. And don’t forget to tip your waiter.

The wearing white thing was partly because of the blizzard thing but also because the old Winnipeg Arena was a dimly lit barn of a building. When everyone wore white it would brighten the entire rink. One goalie from a visiting team said made a positive difference when it came to spotting pucks.

As for the tossing of dead animals on the ice? I got nothing though one game, when there had been a very poorly thought out give away, thousands of promotional containers of peanut butter were tossed on the ice but that was more a matter of displeasure than of team pride.
