That’s what happens when opposing Quarterbacks starting dropping like (pick one) (a) people on Hillary Clinton’s enemies list (or)(b) Republican hopes in Virginia. It is always better to go against QB Tom Savage than it is to face that Watson guy. The way things are going, Brady had better watch himself while stepping out of the shower, lest he break and ankle.

Homer is somewhat surprised by the bloodletting last night in Virginia. While we certainly won’t go into politics here (ahem), we do care about the human cost. Therefore, thoughts and prayers to all the Republican politicians who lost their seats last night. We won’t do anything to prevent it from happening again. Sad.

Thank you. That never occurred to me, despite it appearing right there above the chart.

FO is Football Outsiders.

I am happy that Rebecca and Ivan (and Hombre!) have kept writing, even if the conversations following are somewhat limited by format.

But i think I finally understand a bit of the negativity about the Steelers. I am suddenly nervous. About just about everything. Mostly about the fickle Football gods and their streak of cruelty striking us down when we’re looking up. Perhaps we could distract them by focusing all our hopes on the practice squad or Le’Veon’s rap career.

In the last chart, what does FO stand for?

Apparently I’m not good with abbreviations. I saw someone’s list of the best teams in football: NE, PGH, JJ. I laughed. I thought it was a joke about Team JuJu. Second laugh: the Jaguars? They had to put swimming pools in their stadium to get people to go to their games, and now they’re good? Wonders never cease except for the poor Browns.

Thanks for all your work. I too am surprised by the difficult schedule.

I am so glad that Steeler Fever pushed your blog/site over on BTSC. I always enjoyed reading your articles over there, and am glad to have rediscovered you here. Keep up the good work!

I seem to recall that, at the beginning of the season, everyone was talking about how easy the first half of our schedule was, and that our second half was what would determine how far we could go. Although our second half is still no push-over, the number of teams with injured #1 QBs may make it easier than expected.

The biggest surprise for me was the lack of improvement in record for the Cleveland Browns. I honestly believed they had a chance to pass the Bengals in the standings. Too bad as I thought they were making the right moves.

The second biggest surprise was at the very end of the article where it mentions the Steelers have had the most difficult schedule in the league. Considering how many people seem to be having meltdowns about the Steelers only being 6-2 based on the strength of schedule, it is most enlightening. Who knew that keeping Ben healthy and reducing turnovers would result in a less exciting but more success team.
