I can understand sticking with Davis on Gronk because otherwise you have to give up the sidelines, which is either a long pass that allows them back in the game in one play or an endless amount of time to connect on short passes and step out stopping the clock. That two point conversion, though, was huge because it prevented us from just kicking the game winning FG after Jesse James’ game winning TD was taken away, and I have no idea why you single cover their biggest goal line threat there with a guy who has been abused by him for the past 20 minutes. I’d rather face Dion Lewis with a light front than Gronk with only Sean Davis on him there.

Anyway, it’s in the past now and looks like we’ll get them in the AFC Championship game (although I wouldn’t be shocked if they lose in the divisional round to KC or Baltimore) after we beat the Jags for a vengeance grudge match doubleheader.

Remember that when the Dusty Finish was usually used, the baby face under dog had beaten the heel champion only to have the result over turned in the fashion you described above, but that heel champion would get their comeuppance at a later date in a more meaningful match. Let’s hope the Steelers season follows the bookerman’s script and they get their heat back in the playoffs. The New England Patriots have brought hard times on Steeler Nation, and in the 2017 playoffs, the Steelers will take that title back to the people.
